Photography has always been something that I thought would be fun to get into. However in my mind I always thought that the cost of film, cameras, and equipment were always too high. Too big a barrier to over come to do some real thoughtful art. A lot of those misconceptions kept me from getting into it earlier.

Today, a lot has changed since I got my first digital camera in 2000. There are almost no excuses or hurdles for that matter, to get into photography. Costs are low and possibilities are limitless. You can print anywhere, and shoot anything, and even have your picture printed on a T-Shirt.

Now, I have learned a lot over the last 7 years of shooting digitally, however I am not an expert by any means. Now, I have some info to share and I am sure you do it. That is why I wanted to start Phototalking because I wanted to become a better photographer and I know that I am not the only one. The idea behind this blog/podcast is simple, Share knowledge, by talking photography.

Phototalking is a blog about photography news, tips, and info with an emphasis on doing things with your photography. We will be talking about everything from new cameras coming out to how to organize your photo library.
